Zero the Hero Came to School on Valentine's Day!

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Today we celebrated the 100th Day of School
 with Zero the Hero!

All four  Kindergarten classes and our
TK  (transitional K) class celebrated with 100 day themed math centers outside in the warm sun!
Here is a photo of our 100 day hats. The children write to 100 by 10's and then stamp on the ten strips with ten stamps on each one!

We made cool 100 shaped glasses!

Nothing beats trying to catch a
ZERO with no hands!
(Yummy donuts)

We also strung 100 day necklaces with fruit loops in sets of 10 with fun paper numbers to string
with them in sets of 10.

100 + hands make a fun rainbow!
Oops! I forgot to take a picture
of the finished project.

Here is our 100 dollar bill pouch to carry all our goodies in. Made from a paper lunch bag and a ribbon shoulder strap. We also made a cute Zero the Hero puppet it has a  song on the back.

We  stamped 100 stamps and counted out 100 pennies on 100's boards! Oh yes and my little friend in the corner has been to the face painting station and got a 100 painted on her cheek.

You can't celebrate Zero the Hero's visit with out a cape! By far one of the most popular stations.
*Not pictured here but two more fun centers were trying to blow 100 bubbles and a bean bag toss game. If you got your bean bag in the 100 bin you won a prize! (Actually everyone who played got a prize)

Here we are looking a  little
dis-shoveled but it sure was fun!
After such a fun morning with
Zero the Hero we came back
and Celebrated Valentines day!
Yes I am tired (LOL)

  1. Oh my goodness.....100th Day and Valentine's Day all in one! You must have fallen asleep the instant you got home. We did zero the hero this year as well, but I couldn't find someone to come and be zero the hero for 100th day. :(

I am excited to be your newest follower. I found you through the information about the Illinois Kindergarten conference I am attending in March! :)
