The Pumpkin on the Vine! It's Ready!

Sunday, October 26, 2014

I have had so many requests for this little pumpkin life cycle sequence. My copy was so old and hand drawn. I finally have a brand new crisp black-line available HERE!
(I did have to hand draw the stem for the front I could not find a clip art that would work)

We are going to end the month with some Frankenstein fun. I pinned this cute mini paper plate guy from Pinterest a few weeks ago. I turned him into a counting and ordering activity that my kiddos will complete this week. I glued a pocket to the back for them to put their numbers in after putting them in order.
We will put this poem on the the pocket.
Monsters MUNCH, Monsters CRUNCH!
Monsters like to COUNT for lunch!
This week we will describe Frankenstein on our circle maps at literacy centers and do some monster labeling too.

This darling sewing activity seemed to be all over Pinterest The great thing is they can't mess it up! My kids loved it. We wrote one of our Poerty Journal Poems  on the back.

Last but not least have you made your Jack-O-Happy Pie?
Have a Happy Halloween!

Got Napkins? Make a Halloween Napkin book! Great for practicing sight words. Just take a Halloween napkin, cut and fold white Xerox paper to fit and staple.
Add an Avery label for the title!

Here is my latest quilt thanks to all the cute hand-print samples on Pinterest boards Kinderbykim Jordano

We made this fun little book last week for spider week! Use a spider ring to move the spider all around the doll. A spider is on my ...head, arm , stomach, foot, Mom!

Tp Roll BBB Bat song! I made this little guy last year I ran out of time this year but he is so fun and easy to make.

Friday was our first sharing day! Everyone had two weeks to create their own bear in a Halloween costume! Here are a few of my creative Kiddo's bears!

A "Beary" Good time with Goldilocks and Brown Bear!

Sunday, October 5, 2014

Last week's literacy centers were "BEARY" fun with Goldilocks puppets for retelling, "Beary Good" sight word practice and a Rhyming Little Bears mini book.

Here is one of my little cuties showing off  her
Brown Bear's Bag with the mini book inside.

We discussed the characters and on the back we created a flow map of Goldilock's adventure

I'll be back soon with some darling new Halloween center fun!
