An Early Reindeer Sighting!!!

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

YES there has been a reindeer
sighting already in my classroom!
Only 3 days until December first.
I'm busy working on my December quilt.
It's not complete but I'll have it up by Friday! This is their hand print and a red pompom nose!

This cute little gingerbread is decorated with
paint and Q-tips. The children can easily make him on their own with very little mess.
The quilt squares are 9x9

We started our first holiday
"Draw and Write" this week.
The Reindeer so cute!

More to come I'm busy with parent
conferences this week!
I'll be in "full holiday mode" next
week with more ideas to share!

Turkey Trouble!

Turkey Trouble!
These cute Turkeys say "Please do not eat me!"
"Please eat Ice cream, or cookies, or cake!"
I have had the pattern forever I have no idea where it came from! Then we added the turkey thoughts.

More trouble for turkey! Now he is on the table.
We made pointer sticks with feathers. The children painted turkeys for the covers.

This cute turkey is for our Math Journals!
Mr. Turkey jolly and fat. Had 6 feathers and
wished for ____ more. Now he has 10!
How many feathers did Mr. Turkey wish for?

Fall leaf fun!
These little books are how I
 introduce my sight words.
The children keep them in their book boxes for a few weeks for rereading before I send them home.
I found these fun leaves for the
covers at the dollar store.

My Little Pilgrims were thankful
for many things!
See below!

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I hope you are surrounded
by the people you love!

This is my November Quilt
Little turkey hand prints
with Pilgrim boys and girls.
See link below for patterns

This cute turkey is made from
 our "Family Ties"
I send home a large construction
paper tie with each child and
the directions on the link below.

**I can't figure out how to give
you the big tie pattern on a pdf any ideas?

This is a close up of two of my
ties from my class this year.
They are always so fun to see.

Here is my Mayflower.
I still need to have the children
write about people or things they
are thankful for to put up all around the Mayflower.
